About

“This family run brewery is set against the backdrop of the Preseli mountains, home to the famous Bluestone that created Stonehenge some 5000 years ago. A lovely part of Wales, it’s no wonder that the water filtering through these rocks can produce such a range of tasty beers. We also love their fun, bold labelling here at DD.”

We brew great beer from big bold ingredients in the rough and rocky foothills of the Bluestone mountains to create a quality product that’s big on flavour and big on attitude.

Our Story

Bluestone Brewing Company is a family run brewery tucked away in rural North Pembrokeshire, Wales. Established in 2013 by father and daughter team, Simon and Amy, the brewery has gone from strength to strength and it’s amazing to watch a dream become a reality.

Our ten-barrel brewery lives in the front yard of Tyriet Farm, which is still a working farm to this day. Before the buildings were converted for the brewery, they were used as a dairy and stables. And just 5 months prior to opening our doors as a brewery; newborn lambs and calves were being reared in them!

The name Bluestone Brewing Company comes from the local stone that the buildings were built from many years ago. Bluestone is also pretty famous for being mysteriously transported over 250 miles to become Stonehenge over 5000 years ago!

The water we use for brewing our craft Rock Solid Ales is unique to Bluestone. Our water filters down the Preseli Mountains and collects in a well on our land. And because the spring water is so natural and crystal clear, it goes straight from the well into our beers, with no filtering or added chemicals.

We take pride in the fact that our brewery is incredibly environmentally conscious and renewable. Being situated on a working farm, we reuse all the bi-products from our ales and feed them back to our animals. And by using water from our very own well and generating our own solar power, we are proud to be a green brewery.

We now boast 4 Great Taste stars across our range and have won awards at the Society of Independent Brewers Beer festivals. We have a range of 12 different beers to choose from, which alternate between seasons.

We have recently opened a visitor centre where visitors can come and have a taste of a real microbrewery experience, and of course, try our fantastic range. We also hold regular festivals with live music at the farm which have been a great success, Bluestone is truly something unmissable.
