Cradocs was based in the back-garden bakery on Cradoc Road in Brecon for 10 years.
It was a sunny bakery and really affected how we baked – we were part of the weather up there looking at the mountains, working with bees and butterflies fluttering between the house and bakery.
This was a great place to start a business, over a year ago wee graduated to a purpose-built bakery where there is room to grow.
We don’t have to worry about biscuits bothering our neighbours pallets of packaging on the pavement, clattering about at 2 in the morning and lots of lovely smells…. they say they miss that!
Transport pulls up to the door now, to take away our cracker pallets and we have SALSA – this means we bake to the highest quality and document everything!
So a change of address, more equipment, staff and accreditation means we’ve definitely grown.
Our Story
Welcome to crispy crunchy cracker-land!
Cradoc’s baker-ladies deliver delicious vegan and vegetarian friendly savoury biscuits! As a rule we choose not to use sugar as an ingredient so the clue is in the title…..we’d rather blend vegetables, fruit, flowers and herbs to flavour our savoury biscuits and crackers, naturally.
We concentrate harder than ever on baking beautifully with fresh vegetables and fruits and we are proud to launch four new products for Spring designed specifically for eating with Welsh artisan cheese and aimed at folks who love the hand made touch and honest clean recipes.
We swapped up the veg in these crackers for seeds, oats and Halen Mon so you see the flavours will be natural and perfect for when Welsh cheese is king.
We love thinking about, gobbling, tasting and testing food here. That’s how we kicked off this little business, by baking vegetable crackers that married well with Welsh cheeses and charcuterie and all the other lovely produce we in Wales are lucky to find in food assemblies and farmers markets up and down the Principality.
We just make crackers – nothing else!
