What happens when a group of 3 driven, passionate Rum drinkers get together in Wales? …They decide to launch a premium Spiced Rum, that is unlike no other. Doubtless a conversation that many rum enthusiasts have had over time, but in this case drunken ramblings have turned into reality.
Seeing an opportunity to create something truly unique, a team of 3 great friends have worked with some of the spirit industry’s finest people to launch Devil’s Bridge Spiced Rum.
The base rum is a blend from some of the Caribbean’s most renowned distilleries. In Wales the base is infused with Bara Brith (a Welsh Bread) and distilled in a copper pot still with fruits and spices for sweetness, Shirgar Carmarthanshire butter for smoothness and Glengettie black tea for an unusually dry finish.
The liquid is then poured into an iconic red bottle, which was inspired by the famous Welsh Legend of Devil’s Bridge and really makes this rum stand out from the crowd. The label features a beautifully intricate design, which is embellished through 5 print processes including foiling, de-bossing and spot UV.
Our Story
The name Devil’s Bridge and the inspiration for the bottle came from Devil’s Bridge Legend: The story of the one and only time that the Devil visited Wales…The devil met a woman separated from her cow by a river. He offered a bridge in return for a soul. The woman tossed a loaf of Bara Brith bread over and watched her faithful dog go fetch.
