Our Story

Myself and Soph both previously worked in jobs doing sound work which involved a lot of touring. When we both came to the end of the road with one job, we started putting some ideas together of what we wanted to do and what was missing from the Cardiff area. We knew generally that we wanted to do something within the food and drink industry, and prior to starting this venture, I was hugely into food and loved eating and cooking.

In the January of 2016 we took a trip to Barcelona and it was here that we discovered a few spots there that we were really drawn to and I remember thinking “Oh this is what I would want where I live so why don’t we try and bring this back home?” Hopefully, 3 years later, we’ve come on a journey and have reached an end goal that we’re happy with and we’ve created a space that people (hopefully) enjoy coming to. We didn’t go to Barcelona looking for anything in particular – we just needed a break, but it was this trip that changed things for us and made us think that this was something we could do and something we’d love to do.
