Welcome to In the Welsh Wind distillery. We offer bespoke gin experiences where you become the distiller and discover your own gin.

Our unique experiences allow you to choose your preferred balance of botanicals, operate the still and craft a bottle of your very own.

We are proud to be innovators and providers of bespoke, small batch premium spirits. All that we do at the In the Welsh Wind distillery is personal and honest in every single way. Our unique approach results in the finest product and your first hand involvement in the decision making and physical act of distilling your very own gin provides insight, knowledge and in turn, a real passion for the product you’ve created.

Our Story

Sometimes taking the fork in the road provides the answers without asking the question.

For us, this led to a long walk around Wales. To be precise, 1,047 miles which connects together 870 miles of beautiful Welsh coastal path with Offa’s Dyke, the historic border that runs from Chepstow to Chester. We did this to alleviate the frustrations of work and stresses of life. This was most certainly the catalyst for the In the Welsh Wind distillery.

Over the three months of our adventure, we found time to talk, dream and believe again. Wild nights camping on beaches and clifftops joined together with hard miles, proved to quiet and simplify our existence enough for us to see where we might go next.

We now find ourselves producing bespoke spirits in truly small batches for other businesses.

We are able to politely close the rule book of tradition and wade into all that is new and undiscovered in the craft distilling world.
