The Patchwork Traditional Food Company
“Having won over 80 great taste awards it’s easy to see why Patchwork have built a reputation for producing amazing pâtés. They’ve been going since 1982 but still hand prepare the ingredients and make these lovely products in small batches. This allows them to give the attention to detail needed to keep making delicious pâté, in a range of special flavours that you don’t see every day. We hope you love them as much as we do.”
We are an award-winning Welsh food company, run by foodies for foodies.
If you want amazing chicken liver pâté, fish pâtés, vegetarian pâtés and other delicious treats, you’re in the right place. Our products have never used artificial additives, preservatives or colourings, and have no hydrogenated fats. Just perfect pâté and other yummy stuff.
Patchwork was established in 1982 by Margaret Carter, a talented although untrained home cook who found herself divorced with three children to look after.
With a start-up cost of just £9.00 saved from the housekeeping, she began selling her home made pâtés to pubs in nearby Llangollen.
As Margaret attracted more and more customers and the business started to expand she moved the production from her house in 1987 to a purpose-equipped factory in the heart of Ruthin.
Despite the commercial scale today, everything is still handmade in small batches, without artificial colouring, additives or preservatives, to Margaret’s original recipes.
"Prepared and cooked in small batches, each one of our products have been made with love to ensure freshness and flavour."
