Welcome to The Welsh Saucery – a small, family run business located in North Pembrokeshire. The business is run by husband and wife team, Kara and Steve, along with their team of five children, ranging in age between three and fifteen! They passionately believe that good food deserves great sauce made with wholesome ingredients and natural preservatives, and this is the ethos behind The Welsh Saucery. So, whether you use a cook-in sauce, condiment or spice rub you can taste that a little TLC has been put into every product and that it will shine through when you feed your nearest and dearest.
Our Story
Kara is the real foodie, the one who can balance flavours, the creative one who will wake in the middle of the night with a new idea. Her skills have been honed feeding the family, often using whatever she can find in the cupboard to create a nutritious meal. Steve is the organizer, the link between the recipe and the finished product. The Welsh Saucery is a journey that started when a local company asked Kara to create a Tikka Masala sauce to showcase their product at the BBC Good Food Show in 2019. The feedback from the show was overwhelming and the decision was made to explore the possibility of turning Kara’s natural ability into a business.
Kara believes in using quality ingredients and natural preservatives so The Welsh Saucery products are made with wholesome ingredients and no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. Using natural ingredients creates sauces ‘like they used to be’ and can naturally settle – so be sure to shake your bottle!
