Our Award Winning Umami Seasoning is a special addition to every kitchen. A blend of our Shiitake Mushroom powder, local Halen Môn Sea Salt and dry seaweed, both Shiitake and seaweed are high in Umami and the Halen Môn Sea Salt enhances the delicate flavour perfectly.
The National Trust Fine Food Awards Judges’ felt that this product was so special that they created a new award just for us and our Umami became the first winner of the “Most Innovative Product” Award 🙂 We were also proud winners of a Great Taste Star for this special seasoning.
We use this seasoning like a “rub” for meat or fish before cooking (e.g. before frying a beef steak). If you are a feeling a bit more adventurous you could try homemade pasta and replace your normal salt with Umami Seasoning for a tasty and low sodium pasta!
